Salvation is a gift, given from God to man. "This gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Rom 6:23 nkjv
God offers forgiveness of sins through His Son, Jesus Christ, and God offered His Son as an atonement for our sins. The only way to receive salvation is through Jesus Christ. "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14: nkjv
There is nothing man can do (self-improvement, good deeds, etc.) to make up for his sins. Only by the grace of God and having complete trust in Jesus and faith in the blood of Christ, can he receive salvation and deliverance from his sins. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God." Ephesians 2:8 nkjv
Do you know Jesus as your personal Savior? Have you ever asked yourself, "How much does God love me?" Here is your answer:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved" John 3:16, 17 nkjv
Now insert your name, and you will see just how much God loved and still loves you! God desires to save your soul, "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." I Tim 2:3, 4 nkjv; however He is a gentleman and will not force salvation on you. Salvation is your choice to accept. God offers salvation, we have to accept.
God is offering salvation to you. Do you accept His offer?
You may ask yourself: "How do I receive salvation?" Well Peter told the crowd, in his first sermon following Pentecost, to repent of their sins (ref Acts 2:38). So what does it mean to repent?
Repent- to turn back or turn around
Repentance- a change of mind, remorse for one's sin, desire to turn away from one's sin towards God for salvation.
Are you ready to repent?
With a true repentant heart, you must ask God to forgive you of your sins. Ask Him to cleanse you of all your unrighteousness and to deliver you from your sinful life. Only you can ask God to do this for you.
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." I John 1:9 nkjv
God is a faithful Father who will watch over you. You can trust in Him!
